Sailor Beanies
Sailor beanies... a range inspired by natural woodland tones: verdigris, terracotta, chestnut brown, navy and ecru.
The volume remains the same—compact, thick, warm, and characterized by a decrease linking in ribs, reminiscent of the sturdy knits worn by fishermen.
This hat is made in France from a blend of recycled wool from upcycling. It is knitted in ribs and decreases, which allows for no seams but pretty exterior finishing details.
Beautiful work on the shape of the sailor caps, with a compact volume and generous feel.
We added an industrial wash to begin the softening process. It is machine washable at home and the more you wash it, the softer it will become.
The spinning mill from which the wool is purchased is located in the southwest of France. The wool comes from sweaters collected and sorted by color. Once collected, they are defibrated, cleaned then assembled to create new balls in mottled colors.
These are the yarns we use for our recycled wool hats.
